Good food... decent service...good portions

Used to be great. Not sure if it's the wait staff or a change of cook. The food was terrible when it finally got here after waiting over 45 minutes my guest had already almost finished hers before they bought mine out. When they did it was well over cooked and not what was ordered. And as for the price of the coffee we really expected to have refills and not have to ask for a refill. Wont be going back again. Better service at McDonald's.

While making the drive from Phoenix to San Diego, we stopped at Daybreakers Cafe for breakfast. We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the Chicken Fried Steak. We were impressed by the assortment and options available. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was very attentive and genuinely nice. Daybreakers Cafe has a wonderful hometown feel and we will definitely be stopping there next time we are in the area!

Friendly, clean, customer focused. Meal was good. Family menu. Haven't visited enough to critique the food but I will go back.

Good food, relaxed home town feel. Caters to kids and friendly staff. The snowbird population loves it and the locals get music all year round. Not to mention the fact that it's the heart of a full sized truck stop. Daybreakers is definitely a part of the Foothills as well as the first stop into Yuma headed west!!

Well due to the vivid 19 outbreak the pork chops now taste like the salmon😈

Good food, great staff. It can get crowded in the winter. Make reservations if you have a large crowd (6 or more). The staff appreciates the warning.

Very very very nice food very good the restaurant could use a little updating but I understand that even the corn beef hash is made from Pastrami that they make right there on the premises. My omelet was excellent and they also served a warm piece of cinnamon coffee cake from scratch.

Food was good! Service was minimum. It was an hour before closing. I'll probably go back. Just not so close to closing.

It was Friday night about 6 pm there was a short wait about 10 min. the service was great and the food was excellent.

Stopped in on a Sunday night just passing through. Karaoke in one section provided fun times while we waited on a very filling meal. Great garden omelette guys.

Pittiful asked the waitress about the homemade chicken fried steak and she it’s hand breaded so I told her I’m not eating it she takes my plate then dumps what’s left of my fries on the plate with my bread

Really nice place to eat. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If im not mistaken I believe they are open 24 hours. They have hand scooped ice cream and other yummy desserts. The truck drivers frequent Daybreakers and the reason, because they are served a good tasting meal and decent portions. I would recommend Daybreakers for all meals of the day and then dessert.

It's the biggest and tastiest pork chop that I've ever eaten. Service is great and the coffee was delicious.

One of the best meals I have had, if I could give ten stars I would. Waitress was great, thank you Janet for a great experience.

As always, at least a few times a year when driving through, excellent food, friendly and efficient service! One of my favorite parts is they have HOT water and clean bathrooms! We had the Mexican Combo this time with an enchilada, tamale, taco, rice and beans plus Fabulous Chips and salsa! Very satisfied and looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks! Amazing food! Great service, friendly attitudes. I’m not sure who said they don’t like truckers, but that’s not how we felt at all. Good team work, our drinks were refilled as soon as they got down to half. Carol recommended the chips and they were so good! Thank you daybreakers, will definitely return!

Moderately priced menu. American standard and south of the border cuisine. Flavored well and good portions. Truck and RV parking, easy on and off interstate.

This is one of the best restaurants I have been at.The salad was really good.The dessert was really good as well.The ribs, the lamb and the green beens was the best food I ever had in my life. Also the stuffed potato.The coffee needs some improvement tough.The waitress need to be paying more attention to the clients as well.The restaurant was really clean there wasn’t any flies. The should have a dessert menu with pictures.The manager was really approachable and friendly, not just him but everyone was so friendly, I loved that. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Another dinner type restaurant. We tried the brisket sandwich and an order of wings. Both were good. But out table was very close to the kitchen and it seemed that the micro waves were being used way to much to reheat orders! Also the 2 older men at the front end were very rude to the staff. Our food was 4 stars but the attitude and the slow service was why I rated this as 3 stars

Pleasant surprise. Not your typical Truck Stop Cafe. A very complete menu and full service beverage. We had a very nice breakfast that was served quickly. Prices were very reasonable.

Just wow. I have lived in the foothills for a few years, and had never visited this restaurant. Boy was i missing out.I ordered steak and eggs both were on point, by far the BEST NEW YORK STRIP i have had in the longest time. Eggs perfectly done not overcooked.The waffle fluffiest and the sweet potato pancakes were delicious.Very friendly AND efficient host, and super quick server. You have gained a customer.

Nice looking place however they don't like truckers. As soon as I walked through the door, they wanted to seat me at the counter. I wanted some place comfortable to sit, relax, and enjoy my meal. Eventually, they put me in a small booth by the entrance. When I told the waitress that this was my first visit, she started recommending the least expensive items on the menu none of which appealed to me. I ordered the veal parmesan. The veal was very good but the sauce tasted like it came directly out of a can. I couldn't eat the sauce nor the spaghetti. My waitress did check on me and did a good job during the meal. I think this restaurant is going down hill. The owners are attempting to make more money by skimping on the quality of the ingredients in the food. I also noticed that the welcome guests received varied greatly from friendly to non-existent.

The New York steak was the best steak (of any kind) that I have had in YEARS... I am extremely happy i chose to eat here today. Will definitely be returning!!!

The best Thanksgiving dinner I've had at any restaurant. Friend of mine got their him dinner which he loved it too. The waitress was very attentive. I will definitely go back.

Good atmosphere. You know it's pretty good when truckers frequent the place. You get big portions from friendly waitresses.

With all the craziness going on they are still making awesome food and VERY trucker friendly. Cant sit and eat but better than fast food and they appreciate truckers as much as we appreciate them staying open. Thank you soooo much and appreciate you all being open.

Convenient spot to stop for a bite to eat. Grilled turkey & cheese melt, and potatoe salad. Sandwich was average but potatoe salad was good.

It was terrible, my husband couldn't eat his chicken fried steak at all. My hot turkey was so salty I only ate 1/2. My husband was going to eat some of it since he couldn't eat his supper but after one bite he didn't eat anymore either because of the salt. I shouldn't of eaten any of it because I had open heart surgery and supposed to stay away from salt. Will never go back again and let everyone know how our meal was. Cashier took my husband's off bill but not mine even though we told her couldn't eat most of it and why. Also told waitress.

All 3 of us loved our food! Top sirloin was cooked as ordered and fantastic. Service was great - thanks, Paula!

We had a hearty old fashioned pancake breakfast which was good. The restaurant is conveniently located off I-8 and near a gas station. We were greeted nicely as we came in and our server took great care of us. Prices are moderate.

Their breakfast is fantastic. Their lunch and dinners are not as good as their breakfast, but not bad. Personally I think they need more side options, especially veggies. The service is usually really good, occasionally you get a server who seems a little burnt out. Overall, nice little truck stop style diner, reminds me of the Midwest.

The food is great so is the service.
